Our corset double shot glasses are party starters, that’s for certain. Perfect for adding a frisky touch of playfulness to bachelorette parties or your BFF’s big birthday bash. Rum with a slice of lime served up in a lime-colored corset shot glass is a visually stunning thirst-quenching treat. But since your BFF loves yellow, you’ll reserve a yellow corset shot glass especially for her, of course! What’s even fun-er is that each corset shot glass does triple duty; 1) As a beverage server 2) A decorative accent to the party decor 3) A memorable party favor that guests will cherish long after the party is over. As an artist and my good friendly nature, this is something I have always struggled with – How to price my work. Judi Painted it started out as most handmade business do, as a simple side job /hobby at the end of 2009. In fact that is how the name came about. I would make something for someone and another person would ask “Where did you get that?” and the answer was always the same… “Judi Painted it”. This business has become my life and job, and I love every moment of it. You can read more about it in an article written by my local paper, The Bucks County Courier Times. So what do you get when you purchase a hand painted item from…

That is why Debbie does all the blog posts…;o) What are you going to get: Probably something quickly thrown together just that days or months thoughts. Along with some grammar mistakes and random thoughts of mine. What am I going to call it? –…

When running a small handmade business from home full-time, I start my day at 4:30am and pretty much work until I go to bed bed seven days a week. It’s the truth! I work my ass off on a daily basis! A lot of people also think I paint 10 hours a day; this is not true. Believe it or not, I really dont spend a lot of my time painting, I would say I only spend 30% of my time painting and the rest is all business paperwork, accounting, social networking, marketing, educating myself and looking into or prepping for shows, etc. When I do the math I can paint (depending on the design) any where from 400 to 600 glasses per week. Now,…

My day to day life working from home part 3. First I want to start by saying I’m not a writer, in fact I feel I suck at it. (This is why you don’t get very many blog posts from me) I stress myself out on making everything professional and writing to a certain audience. What your going to get from reading my posts is me from the heart…. along with some grammar errors..;o) After all, I’m an artist, not a writer. Starting your own business from scratch doing everything yourself is not for the weak or quitte rs, espically when you also need time to actually make what ever it is your selling.
